Australia is investigating an intrusion attempt against its Federal Parliament network to determine if any information is stolen during the attack. Details of the attack are unavailable, but the authorities have reset all user passwords as a precaution and tightened network security to protect data and users. The foiled attempt has prompted fears that foreign threat actors may be seeking to interfere with the coming federal election, scheduled to take place in May 2019.
