Denmark’s national rail operator Danske Statsbaner (DSB) suffered an outage to its ticketing systems after a series of distributed-denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks targeted its online platform. The attacks were able to affect train ticket sales at DSB website/application as well as ticket machines and sales counters at train stations. This is the second time DSB’s ticketing systems have been affected by DDoS attacks. In May 2018, DDoS attacks also took the ticketing systems offline and caused disruptions to daily commute.
