Magecart hackers have continued to target the Magento e-commerce platform for planting JavaScript skimming code

Magecart hackers have continued to target the Magento e-commerce platform for planting JavaScript skimming code that harvests credit card details. Over 80 e-commerce websites, running on outdated Magento versions, are found to be compromised and sending credit card details to Magecart-controlled domains. Many of the hacked websites are reputable brands in the motorsports industry and high fashion located in the US, Europe, Latin America and Asia. Since July 2018, Magecart hackers have conducted several high-profile heists against major companies such as British Airways, Ticketmaster and Newegg.
