A government-linked agency in Malaysia has leaked the personal information of patients due to a misconfiguration at its website.

A government-linked agency in Malaysia, National Neurology Registry (NNeuR), has leaked the personal information of 17,000 patients due to a misconfiguration at its website. An HTML scripting error allows any web user to access a broken link on the website, which contains a link to the database. The exposed information include the patient’s personal identification number, phone number and address. Malaysian Health Ministry is currently investigating the incident to prevent a recurrence.
