Mr Khoo Boon Hui joined the Ensign’s board in October 2018.
With more than 30 years of experience in law enforcement and a recognised expert in organisational management, Mr Khoo began his career in the Singapore Police Force in 1977 and became its Commissioner from 1997 to 2010. He also served as President of INTERPOL from 2008 to 2012 and Senior Deputy Secretary of Singapore’s Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) from 2010 to 2014.
Upon his retirement from the Government service in 2015, Mr Khoo was appointed Senior Advisor of the Ministry of Home Affairs, and was re-designated a Senior Fellow in 2016.
Mr Khoo is Chairman of the Cybersecurity Advisory Group to the Minister-in-charge of Cybersecurity. He is also a Senior Fellow of the Civil Service College and also sits on the boards of Singapore Health Services Pte Ltd, Singapore National Eye Centre Pte Ltd, PKBH International Consultancy Pte Ltd, Certis Cisco Security Pte Ltd, Cognifyx Pte Ltd and Sing Digital Assets Exchange Pte Ltd. In addition, Mr Khoo is an advisor to entities in the field of banking, technology, cybersecurity, healthcare including Nasdaq-listed Arqit Quantum, as well as INTERPOL.
Mr Khoo holds a Bachelor in Engineering Science and Economics from Oxford University, UK, and a Master in Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School, USA.
