TypoSwype: An Imaging Approach to Detect Typo-squatting
Data scientists from Ensign’s Labs presented their research entitled “TypoSwype: An Imaging Approach to Detect Typo-Squatting" during the IEEE NTMS 2021 Conference. The study highlights considerations pertaining to keyboard distances, a main vulnerability exploited by typo-squatting techniques. The study also aims to address the lack of a widely accepted approach for keyboard distances by leveraging on state-of-the-art image recognition techniques.
